This Two Wolves Abroad immersion is for up to 12 participants with 3 team leaders and guidance of our local partners.
A 6-day trek takes you on a contemplative journey through scenic mountain ranges, panoramic expanses and pristine forests of the Ruby Valley to the remote village of Tipling. There you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture of one of our partner communities and gain an understanding of the world in a unique and deeply meaningful ways.
Before the trek you will spend a few days in Kathmandu, learning about the rich cultural tapestry of Nepal from Jesuit scholar Fr Gregory Sharkey SJ.
The heart of this immersion lies in a trek through the Himalayas to the village of Tipling. The 6-day trek is a time for you to slow down, have a think and develop strong relationships with the group. There will be times for talking, and times for silence, times to laugh and play, and times to enjoy the stillness and tranquillity of the stunning Himalayan landscape.
Our trek will eventually bring us to the village of Tipling. This incredibly isolated, but incredibly rich community is chiselled out of the hillside looking out towards the stunning Ganesh Himal (Elevation: 7422m). Our time in Tipling will be spent engaging with the community and assisting where needed – be it in the classroom or in the field.
Once we finish our time in Tipling, we will take a shorter route back to Kathmandu for some well-deserved R&R before our return to Sydney.
Nepal will challenge you, it will push you to your physical and spiritual limits, but it will also provide you with a chance to experience something beyond anything you ever have before.
