Mowakhi School
The Cardoner Network is focusing our End of Financial Year Appeal on raising funds for Mowakhi School. The financial constraints of the school mean that school facilities have fallen into serious disrepair. The school is also struggling to fund the provision of lunch to students and have appealed for help to fund the lunches on an ongoing basis. The cost to do all the repair work needed at Mowakhi School and provide a year of school lunches is THB165,690.00 (around AUD7200.00). Every little bit that we can contribute will go a long way for this community.

Two Wolves Abroad
Outreach
Placements and immersions: support our volunteers spending 3 – 6 months volunteering in Nepal, Thailand and the Northern Territory as they teach in local schools and live with the local communities.

The Sunday Outreach programme provides meals for our locals on the margins. Donations will go towards ingredients in order to make burritos and brownies for the community.

The Cardoner Network Ongoing Works
We are extremely grateful for the support of our Mission to deepen the human, spiritual and intellectual formation of young adults, grounding them in a love of the poor in the service of the Church.
2023 has been a year of re-invigoration for The Cardoner Network as we send volunteers back to serve with out partners in Nepal and Thailand and continue our relationships in the Northern Territory. Our local programmes providing young adult support to Redfern Jarjum College and Sunday Outreach are progressing well with good volunteer engagement and appreciation from the partners. We have been able to deliver formation sessions at schools as well as in our Cantina space.
We are hopeful that young adult volunteer engagement will continue to grow for the rest of 2023 giving us a firm footing to grow our programmes.

How it Works and Where Your Money Goes
You choose which of our projects you’d like to support, and your funds will be directly forwarded through to the project.
85% of your funds will go directly to the project of your choice. A fee of 15% is collected to support the transaction costs and ongoing support of The Cardoner Project.
